SYNOPSIS:

At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 205 km East Northeast of Pagasa Island, Palawan (12.0°N, 115.7°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

FORECAST:

Western Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to LPA/ITCZ. The rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to ITCZ/localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from Southeast to East will prevail over Visayas and Occidental Mindanao, and from Southwest to Southeast will prevail over Palawan including Kalayaan Islands with slight to moderate seas.

PAGTAYA:

Ang Western Visayas, Palawan kasama na ang Kalayaan Islands, at ang Occidental Mindoro ay makakaranas ng maulap na papawirin na may kalat-kalat na mga pag-ulan, pagkidlat, at pagkulog dulot ng LPA/ITCZ. Ang nalalabing bahagi ng Visayas ay makakaranas ng bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na papawirin na may pulo-pulong pag-ulan, pagkidlat at pagkulog dulot ng ITCZ/localized thunderstorms.

Mahina hanggang sa katamtaman na hangin mula sa Timog-silangan hanggang sa Silangan ang iiral sa Visayas at Occidental Mindoro, at mula sa Timog-Kanluran hanggang sa Timog-silangan ang iiral sa Palawan kasama ang Kalayaan Islands at may banayad hanggang sa katamtaman na pag-alon sa karagatan.
